Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Network Engineer with Hybrid Cloud SDWAN experience to contribute to the development of cutting-edge space capabilities. You will support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in architecting and maintaining the RAPID Laboratory. This hybrid multi-cloud environment serves as a critical platform for prototyping next-generation space technologies located at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM or Colorado Springs, CO.

As a Network Engineer with MTSI, you will join a small, energetic team to build and maintain a high-fidelity cloud environment. The purpose of this environment is to streamline the acquisition process between the stages of Analysis, Prototyping, Enterprise Testing, and Program of Record Transition. This will be accomplished by integrating multiple organizations from each stage of the process into a single facility.

Working locations can be at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM or Colorado Springs, CO.

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Designing, implementing, and managing networking technologies using Hybrid SD-WAN.
• Developing Networking solutions in the cloud with an emphasis on underlay and overlay architectures.
• Support the software engineering team with managing SD-WAN nodes via API’s.
• Support the software engineering team with gathering metrics using SD-WAN API’s.
• Troubleshooting and resolve network issues.
• Automate infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CDK.
• Ensuring security and compliance.
• Collaborating with a National Team of Subject Matter Experts.

• Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience as a Network Engineer or Architect.
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN and Cloud integration for the DoD.
• Strong ability to design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures.
• Experience with Cisco networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with small, distributed teams.

Desired Qualifications :

• Experience integrating AWS and Microsoft Azure networks for DoD.
• Network Certifications.
• Cloud SD-WAN experience (Cisco, Juniper).
• Python expertise and Scripting.

Education Requirements :

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field.
• Network Certifications and experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
