Medical Billing Team Lead

In this vital role, you will:
  • This is an ON-SITE position in Overland Park, KS.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance, optimize workflows, and improve financial performance
  • Supervise and Mentor: Guide, coach, and support a team of skilled billing specialists, fostering professional growth and ensuring high team morale
  • Client Support: Engage in day-to-day client support and seamless collaboration
  • Workflow Oversight: Oversee the accuracy and efficiency of our billing operations. Assign daily tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure timely completion of all billing activities
  • Problem Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point for your team for especially complex billing issues and client concerns, providing expert solutions
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a leadership contact for clients, leading regular check-ins and ensuring satisfaction with billing services. Play a key role in building lasting client relationships and delivering outstanding support
  • Training and Development: Train new and existing team members on billing processes, software (especially eClinicalWorks), and industry best practices
  • Process Improvement: Identify trends in denials or payment delays, recommend and implement process improvements, and contribute to departmental efficiency
  • Reporting: Prepare and review comprehensive monthly and ad hoc reports for management and clients, using data from eClinicalWorks and other systems
  • Culture Champion: Model and promote a collaborative, family-oriented company culture, encouraging open communication and teamwork
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, with a willingness to learn new practice management and billing software.
  • Strong experience with eClinicalWorks preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead , motivate, and develop a small team in a billing environment
  • Stellar Customer Service: Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex billing issues for medical practices
