Water Treatment Operator

Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Water Treatment Operators in Lisbon, Maine! The Water Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment and Distribution facilities as directed by the Project Manager. Responsibilities:

Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we work towards maintaining 100% compliance which is achieved by daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system. Regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations.

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • 2+ years' experience working in a water or wastewater treatment and/or distribution environment.
  • A valid State of Maine motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Must possess a minimum of a Maine Class 1 Operator-in-Training Treatment and/or Class 1 Operator-in-Training Distribution Operator Licenses and possess the ability to acquire Maine Class 2 Full Treatment and Class 2 Distribution Operator Licenses the within 2 years.
  • Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

$28 - $33 an hour

Pay range depends upon experience and certification levels.
