Job Description

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the full school year in a K-12 educational setting. Multiple positions are open for educators with experience working with diverse student needs across various grade levels. The role offers a contract with a standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Positions include:

  • 3rd to 5th grade autism classroom (Social Learning Center)
  • Middle school resource teaching position
  • Elementary resource teaching position

Ideal candidates will have a passion for supporting students with special needs and possess the skills necessary to deliver tailored instruction in both inclusive and specialized environments. Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior management strategies, and collaborative teamwork with staff and families is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs focused on academic and social development
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students in various settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success
  • Monitor progress and update documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Demonstrated experience with autism spectrum disorders and resource support services
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
