Responsibilities Deck hands perform shipboard duties as assigned and instructed by the Master or Mate. Duties include but are not limited to participating in marine safety drills and training, watch standing, general maintenance and cleaning. Deck hands also participate in deck operations that include working with winches, H-frame, and cranes and other mechanical systems in adverse conditions for long periods of time. License and Certificate Requirements Semper will cover costs of certificates after employment. Valid CG Medical card STCW TWIC CPR/First aid certificate Other Requirements Pass a pre-employment drug test and be entered in a random drug testing program. Work at sea in rough weather situations. Ability to be away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time. Physically fit and able to work in harsh conditions, climb ladders, and lift items up to 50 lbs. This position is full time based out of Charlestown, MA. It is on a 2 week on/off rotation. Compensation based on experience.
