As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Full Time in Soquel, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued team member with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will serve as an unarmed officer, monitoring assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine checks, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to situations as they arise. This is a driving position, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle to cover designated areas and report on any observations or incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, upholding Allied Universal’s values of reliability, innovation, and teamwork. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential issues and offer assistance as needed.
• Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with other security-related personnel and local authorities when necessary during emergencies or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
