As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and assets. You will conduct routine patrols, control entry points, verify credentials, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires strong communication and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures at the logistics and distribution location, monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel and visitors.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and/or concerns from employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following protocols for emergency response.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or breaches of policy according to established procedures.
• Liaise with site management and/or law enforcement as directed for security-related matters.
• Utilize access control systems, visitor logs, and other tools to track and monitor movement throughout the location.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in customer service roles is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
