As a Security Officer - Tech Site - Overnight Shift in Boise, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a leading Tech, Media, and Telecom location. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence to foster a welcoming atmosphere while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position requires you to be comfortable utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to document activities and respond to incidents as needed. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology, media, or telecom location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for access control.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and manage visitor access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of security-related activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Communicate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license in the job state is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
