As a Security Officer - Media Site - Overnight Shift in Huntersville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure setting for employees, visitors, and assets. Your presence and attentiveness will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication skills will allow you to provide exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, responding to security-related situations, and supporting access control measures. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the technology, media, or telecom location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and guidance while maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Complete required reports and logs accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at the client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
