Are you interested in working as a school nurse with students in public, private, parochial, elementary, and high schools?

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to work in a school setting. In this position you will cover any acute care needs in the school (including the three "B's' of school nursing - bumps, bruises and bellyaches) and are community oriented, including providing health information to students, teachers, principals and parents.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
• Consult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student care
• Administer medication as required by doctors orders
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents
• Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students
• Monitor student immunization records
• Educate students and staff on health procedures
• Perform hearing, vision and other health screenings

Skills:

• State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Knowledge of school laws and policies
• BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications
• Knowledge of state health regulations
