Safety Specialist - 2nd Shift (M-F, 1pm to 9:30pm)

We are a very well-established and busy organization in the Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics Engineering Industry seeking an entry-level Safety Specialist-2nd shift, to join our winning team at our brand new, state of the art facility in East Mesa. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role, will have a genuine interest in environmental and safety management and operations in industrial manufacturing, will be comfortable working the 2nd shift (M-F, 1pm to 9:30pm) and will be seeking a long term career opportunity offering lots of room for growth and advancement.

The Safety Specialist will oversee and maintain regulation record keeping, work with the Safety Support team members, regulate safety supplies, and will be a point of contact for team members to address potential safety hazards and issues, and investigate accidents and incidents.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain facility and environmental permits and regulations, ensuring all is up to date.
• Maintain accurate safety record keeping and tracking, both physical and digital forms.
• Oversee and maintain Safety Data Sheets.
• Elevated point of contact for team members to address potential safety concerns.
• Enforce the use of proper P.P.E. required and have great knowledge to explain why it is important.
• Ensure all safety equipment is kept clean, sanitized, and exemplifies our level of excellence.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working in a safety role in manufacturing.
• OSHA-30 Certification or other safety related certifications (preferred, not required)
• Desire to learn and grow while developing a career in safety management.
• Comfortable working the 2nd shift (M-F, 1pm to 9:30pm)
• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.

This is a direct-hire, long-term career opportunity with a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, the starting pay range is $55K-$60K plus benefits and lots of room for advancement. This role will provide an abundance of on-the-job training in safety management in manufacturing.
