PreOp /PACU Registered Nurse (RN III) | $42.28/hr. | On-site, Temporary Assignment

Job Description:
A respected multispecialty and research-focused healthcare facility is seeking a highly experienced PreOp/PACU RN III for a temporary assignment. This position is ideal for a professional RN with advanced clinical skills in both preoperative and post-anesthesia care settings. The RN will deliver direct patient care, mentor staff, and support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level clinical care to pre- and post-operative patients and act as a clinical resource to unit and hospital staff
• Mentor and coach nursing staff, identify professional development opportunities, and foster a collaborative team environment
• Participate in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Serve as a charge nurse when needed and support department throughput, documentation, and patient satisfaction efforts
• Anticipate and respond to patient emergencies, Rapid Response/CERTs, and facilitate safe discharge planning

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license (or Compact State license); or temporary license with permanent licensure obtained within 90 days of hire
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 7 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a healthcare environment, preferably PACU
• Strong leadership, assessment, time management, and communication skills
• Experience with electronic medical records and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

The range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role, and hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
