Hershberger & Sons is seeking a skilled and experienced pipelayer/excavator operator. The qualified candidate will be able to calculate grade, lay storm drain, sewer, water lines and set structures correctly and to grade. Must have a strong work ethic and have the energy and enthusiasm to show up and get the job done. We have good equipment and a positive working environment. Must be able to lead a crew from the operator seat, and be responsible for the maintenance and care of tools and equipment. We are a family owned company with 20 years of working in south central Kentucky and middle Tennessee. Our current projects are in Mt Juliet and Murfreesboro. Looking to place the qualified person immediately.
Company DescriptionHershberger & Sons is a family-owned business dedicated to serving customers with site grading and excavating needs. It was founded in 1996 by Felix Hershberger who had a dream but no money, and very little experience in excavating.
Born and raised on a farm in Costa Rica, Felix acquired mechanic skills through working on older farm equipment. One day as a young man, he had the opportunity to operate a back-hoe and fell in love with dirt work. Ten years later, Felix and his wife Marty were living in southern Illinois. With the help of some friends, they acquired an excavator and a tractor/pan setup and began grading poultry house pads. This work eventually took them to Franklin, Ky, where they have been ever since. Throughout the years, God has blessed us with excellent employees and associates, leading us to where we are now. Our philosophy is simple: take care of customers with integrity and quality work, and have fun doing it. We are grateful to all our customers over the years, many friends and business partners who have helped us become who we are, and look forward to continue serving our customers. We are continually seeking to improve our equipment and capabilities. The latest improvement is the addition of GPS grading systems.
