Position Summary:
Great Oaks Charter School is seeking an inspiring Creative Writing Teacher to cultivate our students' literary talents and ignite their passion for the written word. We're looking for a wordsmith who can guide young writers in finding their unique voices, exploring various genres, and developing their storytelling skills. If you're passionate about nurturing the next generation of authors and poets, we want you to join our creative team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and teach creative writing curriculum across various genres
Guide students in developing their unique writing voices
Organize writing workshops and literary events
Encourage student participation in writing contests and publications
Provide constructive feedback on student work
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, or related field
Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong portfolio of creative writing work
Experience in teaching writing preferred
Excellent editing and feedback skills
Benefits:
Competitive starting salary: $54,000+ Based on Experience.
