Job Description

This position seeks a certified Special Education Teacher to provide tailored instructional support for students in grades K-5 within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on serving students with a variety of disabilities, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments, primarily in general education classrooms. The assignment runs for the full school year from August 18, 2025, to June 16, 2026, on a five-day per week contract basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Experience working with students with OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments
• Ability to deliver services in both general education and specialized settings
• Strong skills in adapting curriculum and behavioral interventions for diverse learners
• Proven classroom management and collaboration with general education teachers

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive education
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Serve a fluid caseload of approximately 10-15 students at any given time
• Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth
