Amentum is seeking a Junior 3D CAD Modeler to join our team providing parametric modeling in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Integrated Topside Design. Responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models of U.S. Navy ships, supporting shipboard laser 3D scanning, and developing models used in supporting Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) modeling and analysis. Minimum requirements include at least one year of demonstrated knowledge and expertise in parametric modeling using Autodesk Inventor Professional or equivalent software with an Autodesk Inventor Essentials certificate. Experience in 3D CAD model development related to ship design, commercial antennas, lights, cameras, ship hulls, masts, structure, weapon systems, and technical data usage is required. Experience with 2D drawings, DoD, ASME, ANSI, and Military standards is also required along with an Autodesk Vault Professional Essentials certificate. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance, requiring US Citizenship. Amentum is an Equal Opportunity Employer with inclusive hiring practices.
