BLD is a busy, boutique interior design firm, serving mostly Western Loudoun County clientele. We're looking for a talented, experienced, entrepreneurial Interior Designer/Project Manager. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, loves the design business, is organized, a strong communicator, with an ability to multi-task. This role will include design work, project management, and participation in business management.

Role will start as an assistant/Project Manager to the principal designer

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the creation of interesting and timeless designs according to BLD and client's aesthetic, lifestyle and budget requirements
• Manage all project details and plans, including timelines and implementation plans
• Source and price materials and furnishings
• Specification of construction elements such as cabinetry, built-ins and trim details
• Maintain client, vendor, and contractor communications
• General office and administrative duties, assist with product procurement
• Assist with management and organization of studio
• ...and anything else our clients or the business needs!

Our ideal candidate:

• A minimum 3 years experience working in the Interior Design industry or other valuable experience
• Motivated, positive, can-do attitude, willing to jump in and do whatever needs to be done to get the job done
• Excellent people and organizational skills
• Professional and reliable
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
• Proficient in general software systems: Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Google docs
• Familiar with social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. easily

Terms/Compensation:

• Full-time/Part-time/Contract considered
• College degree not required
• Training Provided 
• Healthcare and Retirement Plan available for qualified employees
• Compensation package will depend upon experience and abilities

Job Flexibility: Once trained and fully engaged, some remote work and flexibility with work schedule is possible.
