About the Role

Join us as a Design Technologist and revolutionize how we build and iterate on user experiences. You will be a critical bridge between design, and engineering, contributing to prototypes that empower designers and to create and iterate more efficiently.

We are seeking an experienced Design Technologist who is passionate about the intersection of design and code. You possess a strong track record of not only translating design concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready components but also of applying AI techniques to accelerate and enhance these processes. You are a clear and effective communicator, with a talent for articulating technical concepts to design teams and design considerations to engineering teams, and excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Create high-fidelity interactive prototypes using modern web technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS), often leveraging AI-powered tools and generative techniques to accelerate development and explore variations.
• Collaborate with designers to explore and validate new user interface patterns and interactions.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility and successful implementation of design solutions.

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a Design Technologist, Front-End Developer, or similar role focused on UI development and prototyping.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Experience working with Figma or similar design tools, and translating designs into code.
• Solid understanding of component-based architecture and design systems
• Familiarity with Git
• Demonstrable experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML concepts to design technology, front-end development, or creative workflows (e.g., using generative AI for UI elements, AI for code refactoring, intelligent prototyping tools, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between design and engineering.
• Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and execute frontend development tasks and projects within established timelines.

Skills that would further enhance your eligibility:

• Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering for generative AI models.
• A portfolio showcasing interactive prototypes, UI components, or design system contributions, especially those that highlight your use of AI in the development process.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools such as React testing library and Cypress/Playwright

Compensation:

• Up to $39.31/hr. (W2)
