About the Employer

The Stony Creek Joint Unified School District is located in a rural area of northern California and serves students from Ladoga to Chrome and from the western edge of the Sacramento Valley to the summit of the Coast Range. The district covers approximately six hundred square miles, of which nearly half is within the boundaries of the Mendocino National Forest. Also included in this area is Grindstone Rancheria, a Nomlaki Indian rancheria. Members from the Pomo and Wintun tribes also attend the school. Our district is small, with a student teacher ratio of approximately 6:1 which affords the opportunity to work closely with our students and their families to provide an excellent educational experience.

Job Summary

The Football Coach is responsible for the overall supervision, instruction, and guidance of the school's football team. This role involves developing athletes' skills, promoting sportsmanship, and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of all team members. The Football Coach will design and implement effective training programs, organize practice sessions, and lead the team in competitions, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. The Football Coach will also work with students, teachers, and the athletic director to evaluate student eligibility for the program.


Candidates must be able to pass a background check, clear a TB screening, and have a valid CA driver's license. Candidates will also be required to complete CIF Coach Trainings. See attached job description.
