Job Description

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include leading the design of automatic fire alarm, detection and suppression systems; preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction; performing calculations and code analysis; mentoring less experienced staff in the execution of designs; conducting periodic construction site inspections.

Qualifications:

* Safety & Protection Engineering degree or related degree from an accredited four-year college or university
* At least five years of relevant fire protection design or consulting experience
* PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in multiple states

The ideal candidate(s) will have experience with any/all of the following:

* Designing and specifying fire suppression systems
* Designing and specifying fire alarm systems
* Performing life safety code review
* Mentoring less experienced staff
* International Building Code, NFPA Standards and Uniform Facility Criteria
