Location: Medical Office Building-Fort Worth (750 8th Ave) Department: IS Epic Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: This position is an independent contributing information technology professional responsible for planning, developing, testing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing application(s) and related information technologies. The professional will establish, develop, and promote standard architectures, hardware, and software components. Responsibilities include developing clinical and business solutions, investigating processes to understand data and communication flows, supporting user needs, and acting as a liaison among IS, clinical end users, vendors, and technical experts. The role supports safe patient care services by delivering clinically and technically sound solutions and recommending process improvements based on risk and failure analysis. Expected Activities include but are not limited to: Monitoring application effectiveness in meeting user requirements Modifying applications as needed Defining and developing reports Preparing statistical summaries and reports Participating in application upgrades Resolving issues related to applications and technologies Diagnosing failures in software and related technologies Analyzing issues and identifying trends Quality control of all application implementations/enhancements prior to release Staying informed of vendor and industry developments Communicating and documenting relevant activities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, IT, or Sciences required. Equivalent education/experience may be considered. Epic SmartForm and Research, Ambulatory, or ClinDoc certification highly preferred. Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting. At least 5 years of experience with clinical software/hardware or databases, including design, configuration, training, or implementation. Licensure/Certification: Epic certification required within 6 months of employment, including 2 test retakes.
