Job Details:
We are searching for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Permanent Director of Leasing to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role requires a deep understanding of Section 8, rent laws, lease packages, and NYC rent supplemental programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing lease negotiations for a portfolio of over 2500 apartments in New York City. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of leasing for a portfolio of over 2500 apartments, primarily located in New York City.
2. Ensure compliance with all current NYC regulations and rent laws.
3. Utilize in-depth knowledge of Section 8 and various NYC rent supplemental programs to maximize profits and maintain tenant satisfaction.
4. Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
5. Negotiate lease terms and conditions and ensure they are in line with company's policies and regulations.
6. Prepare and review lease agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate.
7. Coordinate with property management team to ensure smooth move-ins and move-outs.
8. Provide regular updates to senior management about occupancy rates, lease renewals, and other key metrics.
9. Stay updated on current market trends and economic conditions to adjust leasing strategies as needed.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting + Finance industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of Section 8, rent laws, lease packages, and NYC rent supplemental programs.
3. Proven track record of managing large portfolios and negotiating lease terms.
4. Excellent understanding of current NYC regulations.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
7. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred.
