Job Description

A Baker typically involves preparing dough, mixing batters, baking various goods, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Bakery Supervisor is also responsible for decorating baked goods, operating baking equipment, and following recipes or creating new ones.

• Baking:

  • Set oven temperatures and place items into ovens.
  • Monitor baking processes and adjust oven temperatures or item positioning as needed.
  • Bake a variety of products, including breads, cakes, pies, and pastries.

• Decoration (if applicable):

  • Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods.

• Other Duties:

  • Follow recipes or create new ones.
  • Receive special orders from customers.
  • Operate and maintain baking machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all raw and finished goods adhere to quality and food safety standards.
  • Clean and organize the bakery area.
  • Potentially assist with sales transactions and customer service.

• • Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough.
  • Prepare and fill pans, molds, or baking sheets.
  • Prepare workstations for baking.
  • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
  • Combine ingredients in mixers or blenders.
