About the job

We are looking for an experienced hands-on baker and talented manager to lead our bakery department in our Central Kitchen.

You will assist with directing the daily preparation and baking of our bread, pastries, and desserts.

Our customers have been enjoying our fresh-baked baguettes and legendary cookies for decades—help us continue this tradition of excellence!

Our bakery manager works closely with our Executive Chef to bring all our baked goods to the next level and innovate new recipes as part of ongoing research and development.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in baking with an emphasis on bread, dessert, and pastry (high-volume production experience is a plus!)
• 5 years of Leadership experience managing a team of about 20 people
• A two-year culinary degree preferred
• A degree in Business Operations, Leadership, HR, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred
• A working knowledge of rotating ovens, laminators, and other large production bakery equipment
• The ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for at least eight hours, bend, stoop, twist, etc. in a physically demanding job
