The Aircraft Mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, avionics, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and mechanical components. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible to assigned senior/lead for accomplishing maintenance actions. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to maintenance and equipment accomplishments. Ensures technical data and tool control are in use on all work assignments. Ensures work area and equipment are kept clean daily and equipment is stored in proper places. Must be knowledgeable of section operations. Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to meet the physical qualifications as outlined in Appendix F of the CBA. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of documented aircraft mechanical experience (DD 214 or employment record); Satisfactory completion of Mechanic, Aircraft training criteria and task certification established by the Company, or one (1) year of satisfactory performance working as a Helper, Mechanic at Vance AFB or hold a valid FAA A and/or P license.
